CGI Hambantota inaugurates an " India Corner " at Dakshinapaya Provincial Ministry Complex
As a part of celebrating 77th Independence Day of India & culminating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, an “India Corner” was inaugurated in collaboration with Southern Provincial Council at Dakshinapaya, Provincial Ministry Complex premises in Labuduwa on Tuesday, 15th August 2023 by the Hon’ble Governor of Southern Province Dr. Willie Gamage & Consul General of India Hambantota, Mr. Dipin P.R. in the presence of Secretaries of Southern Provincial Governments and many other distinguished guests.
02. The “India Corner” has been set up dedicating an access to a variety of books, periodicals, magazine, brochure and other entertainment material procured from India, mainly in English & in Hindi languages on Indian history, cultural heritage, fiction, children’s books, mythology, Indian leaders, philosophers, art and culture. This can be accessed by people visiting the Corner. In coming times, the 'India Corner' will provide a platform to further strengthen the deep rooted cultural ties between India & Sri Lanka
