Scholarship for studying Hindi in India for the Academic Session, 2024-25 under the Scheme of Propagation of Hindi Abroad at Kendriya Hindi Sansthan Agra, India.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India is offering scholarships to Sri Lankan nationals to study Hindi at the Kendriya Hindi Sansthan (Central Institute of Hindi), Agra, for the academic session 2024-2025.
Applicants are required to have studied Hindi as a subject at G.C.E. A/L or have done beginner or intermediate courses in Hindi or any Hindi course conducted by Universities/Schools of Sri Lanka. The candidate must have a minimum written and oral proficiency in Hindi or/and English. The candidate must have basic skills in operating computer.
The minimum age for admission is 21 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years as on 01.04.2024. The selected candidates will be provided return airfare (economy class), stipend, hostel accommodation and an annual book grant.
The application forms can be downloaded from the website www.hindisansthan.in or can be collected on weekdays between 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m from 12/01/ 2024 to 20/1/2024 from the following :·

The candidates are required to bring duly filled in application forms supported by necessary documents and their certificates in original and present themselves for an interview in person at the time of submitting their applications between 10.00 to 1.00 pm on 26 February 2024 at the Consulate General of India, 170-B, New Road, Hambantota.
