Mr. Dipin .P.R has taken over as the Consul General of India Hambantota, Sri Lanka from 28 August 2020.

Mr Dipin .P.R belongs to Indian Foreign Service (I.F.S) and as a career diplomat, he served at High Commission of India, Colombo in Political & Economic Wing. During his stint at Ministry of External Affairs at New Delhi, he worked as Under Secretary at Indian Ocean Region (IOR) Division. Before joining the I.F.S, Mr. Dipin .P.R worked in Merchant Navy as a Marine Engineer. He speaks English, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil & Sinhala. He is married to Sruthi Sasi and has a son.
