India Corner at Hikka Fest 2023

CGI Hambantota participated in Hikka-Fest organized by Ruhunu Tourism Board, Ministry of Tourism & Culture of Southern Province of Sri Lanka on 16-17 December 2023 at Hikkaduva Beach, Galle. Consul General was invited as Guest of Honour at the event. The event was jointly inaugurated by Consul General and Mr. Wajira Abeywardana, Member of Parliament from Galle 

CGI Hambantota also organized an “India Corner” at the event. India Corner was dedicated to promoting Indian tourism in the northern states of India and an exhibition of touristic locations in the states of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Ladakh was put up at the Indian corner.

Consulate also organized Indian cultural program on 16th December 2023. It comprised of performances by a local dance troupe on traditional India dance forms including Kathak, Garba and Bollywood songs.
