Vishwa Hindi Diwas 2026 Celebration at the Monaragala District Library

On 11 January 2026, the Consulate General of India, Hambantota celebrated Vishwa Hindi Diwas 2026 at the Monaragala District Library. Students enthusiastically showcased their talents in Hindi, and winners and participants were felicitated with prizes and certificates, highlighting their dedication and language skills.
Building on this enthusiasm and responding to the growing interest in Hindi in Monaragala District, CGI Hambantota commenced a new Hindi class at Pokunugala Raja Maha Viharaya. The initiative aims to promote language learning and foster deeper cultural exchange between India and Sri Lanka.
