The Consulate General of India, Hambantota partnered with University of Ruhuna to organize the Southern Province Government Staff Badminton Championship 2025 on 22–23 November. Consul General Harvinder Singh and the CGI Hambantota team actively participated in the tournament, promoting fitness, teamwork, and camaraderie among government staff.

The event celebrated the spirit of healthy living and physical activity, aligning with the objectives of Fit India and Fit SriLanka. Through active engagement in the championship, CGI Hambantota underscored the importance of wellness, collaboration, and fostering strong cultural and professional connections across the Southern Province.
