As part of India’s 79th Independence Day celebrations, the Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized ‘Legends of India’, a photo exhibition celebrating India’s inspirational figures, at the Faculty of Technology, University of Ruhuna, Kamburupitiya, on 13th August 2025. The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Harvinder Singh, Consul General of India, and Prof. P. K. Subash Jayasinghe, Dean of the Faculty. The event also featured a series of Sinhala-dubbed videos showcasing the life and legacy of India’s legendary personalities, offering visitors a glimpse into the nation’s rich heritage and the extraordinary individuals who shaped its journey.
