As a part of celebrating 75 years of India’s Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) & 74^th Independence Day of Sri Lanka which falls on 4^th February 2022, Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized “India – Sri Lanka Friendship Walk” on 1^st February 2022 at Hambantota.  The event was flagged off by the District Secretary of Hambantota Mr. Priyantha Sumanasekara at the Hambantota central bus stand and ended at the Consulate Premises.  Many distinguished personalities, including, Deputy Mayor & Municipal Council Members of Hambantota, Senior Government officials, officials from Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce and many other prominent local personalities were among the distinguished guests who participated in the event.
