On the sacred occasion of Vap Full Moon Poya Day, the Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized a Photo Exhibition on 17th October 2024 at the historic Dematamal Viharaya in Okkampitiya, celebrating India’s rich Buddhist heritage.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Consul General Mr. Harvinder Singh, Chief Priest Ven. Galtemwatte Pugnananda Thero, Additional District Secretary Mr. L.A. Somarathna, and Assistant District Secretary Mr. D.W. Dahanayake.

Hundreds of devoted visitors explored the timeless spiritual and cultural connections between India and Sri Lanka, engaging deeply with the profound legacy of Buddhism showcased through evocative photographs.
