On 18 October 2025, Vice Consul Ch. Ratnamala participated in the “Dakshina Punarudaya” Cultural & Literary Festival held in Galle, organized by the Southern Provincial Ministry of Culture. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka, Jagath Wickramaratne, as the Chief Guest, highlighting the significance of the festival in promoting regional cultural initiatives.

Coinciding with the festival, the Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized a two-day Film Screening and ODOP–Tourism Exhibition from 17–18 October 2025. The exhibition showcased Indian films, tourism destinations, and the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative, providing visitors with insights into India’s diverse culture, traditional crafts, and tourism potential.
