On 31 October 2025, the Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized an exhibition titled “Sardar Patel – The Architect of Unification” at Vipulananda Tamil Maha Vidyalaya to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Vallabhbhai Patel, widely known as the Iron Man of India. The exhibition was inaugurated by Consul General Harvinder Singh together with Monaragala Zonal Education Director Harshani Sameera and the school’s Principal Siva Kumar.

During the event, Consul General Harvinder Singh also handed over yoga mats to the school, encouraging students to embrace the practice of Yoga for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. The initiative highlighted the importance of wellness and cultural exchange while inspiring students to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
