To commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Consulate General of India, Hambantota organized a Youth Painting Competition on Mahatma Gandhi in collaboration with Hindustani Prachar Sabha (Mumbai), India and Ruhunu Language Academy, Galle. The event aimed to inspire young minds to reflect on the ideals of truth, non-violence, and simplicity championed by the Father of the Nation.

Young participants showcased their artistic talents by creating vibrant and thoughtful paintings depicting various facets of Mahatma Gandhi’s life and message. The competition provided a meaningful platform for youth to creatively engage with Bapu’s teachings and their continuing relevance in today’s world.

Winners were felicitated with prizes and certificates of appreciation, recognizing their artistic expression and understanding of Gandhian philosophy. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to Gandhi Ji’s enduring legacy, blending art with values that continue to guide generations across the world.
