Tree Plantation Programme at Kataragama

 

As a part of celebrating “Special AKAM Week 2022” Consulate General of India Hambantota organized a Tree Plantation Programme at Kataragama on 8th February 2022. Consul General Mr. Dipin P.R along with the chairman of  Katharagama Pradeshiya sabha  planted tree saplings endemic to Sri Lanka at the location.

02.       To mark the 75 years of India’s Independence, 75 Kumbuk & Mee tree saplings were planted during the occasion with the participation of Kataragama Pradeshiya Sabha council members & other government officials from various government organizations.

03.       Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India and the glorious history of her people, culture and achievements.
