ITEC Students Get together at Jetwing Lighhouse Hotel, Galle

ITEC students (for the batches 2015-16 & 2016 &17) get together was celebrated at Jetwing Lighthouse Hotel in Galle on 30th March 2017. 24 officials from government and private sector in Sri Lanka actively participated in the event. Hon’ble Consul General of India, Prem K. Nair in his inaugural address, gave an overview of the ITEC programme, stressing that it was an important pillar of bilateral cooperation with Sri Lanka. Consul General added that apart from training courses, ITEC programme offers expertise in several other areas such as feasibility studies, projects, deputation of experts abroad, which could also be explored to enhance further collaboration with Sri Lanka. This was followed by presentations by ITEC alumni who were successfully completed their training programmes at various places in India. They offered positive insights into the training programmes, and also spoke about the wonderful facilities offered by the Government of India and how much they enjoyed their studies in India. Lunch-buffet was served at the end of the programme. Mr. Sumit Alahakoon, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture witnessed the event.
