Photo Exhibition on “INDIA THROUGH SRI LANKAN EYES

A Photo Exhibition on “India through Sri Lankan Eyes” was inaugurated by the Hon. Mr. Saliya Sumeda Silva, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Tourism, Transport and Cultural Affairs, Uva Provincial Council, Rev. Kapugama Saranatissa Thero, Chief Priest of the temple & Hon. Mr. D. Piyathissa Kumarage, Basnayake Nilame of Ruhunu Kataragama Maha Devol on 25 November, 2015 at 1000 hrs at Sambuddha Jayanthi Viharaya in Kataragama. Ms. Deepika Amaraweera, Divisional Secretary Kataragama, Members of Urban Council, OIC of Kataragama Police Station, Principals of the schools in Kataragama, Journalists & many other local government dignitaries are also attended the event. Near about 4000 locals visited photo exhibition and they highly appreciated the efforts made by Consulate General of India, Hambantota. We have also been screening a documentary film “Land of Buddha” on Lord Buddha / Buddhism at the premises of the temple for the public.
