Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam - Tree Plantation at Wewurukannala Buduraja Maha Viharaya

As part of the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam initiative, the Consulate General of India in Hambantota organized a tree plantation drive on 17th September 2024. The event was held at the historic Wewurukannala Buduraja Maha Viharaya, symbolizing a shared commitment to environmental sustainability and cultural heritage.

Consul General Mr. Harvinder Singh, Chief Priest Karathota Pagnaseela Thero, and Assistant Divisional Secretary of Dikwella, Mrs. Uthpala Rathnayaka, participated in planting Mango, Neem, and Frangipani saplings
