16th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas

on 9th January 2021,  16th Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas was organized by Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi in a virtual format with the theme “Contributing to Aatmanirbhar Bharat” On this occasion Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas  was  also celebrated by Consulate General of India, Hambantota at the Consulate premises. The Consulate invited prominent members of the Indian community and the programme was live streamed. At the end of the telecast Consul General Mr.Dipin P.R interacted with the members of Indian community and also highlighted a host of measures initiated by MEA to help Indian citizens aboard.
